As an interior designer, I often get asked to update homes for resale. When I take these jobs, I totally have to change my way of thinking. Getting a home ready for resale is usually about making it neutral and “De-personalizing” it. This can be tricky since I’m usually all about making a house a home and adding personality and character to it. So when I do these kind of jobs, I have to keep reminding myself that I’m making it a fresh canvas for someone else to fill with their own personality, character, and memories.
Here is my most recent resale job I had the pleasure of working on.
{This also happens to be the same job I broke my ankle on…}
The homeowner and realtor were a joy to work with and the after pictures really made my injury just a bit less painfull:)
